We had a very successful 2021 SAARA National Championship that was hosted by North-West on 8 and 9 October 2021 and it was heart-warming to see so many of our top athletes on the range despite the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. We witnessed some excellent shooting and the competition was very close, particularly among the ladies, where the tension in the qualifying rounds was very high and ties had to be broken twice in the finals.

The 2021 National champions for the various disciplines are:

Georgia de Waal – 10m Sporter Women

Emile Hugo – 10m Sporter Men

Arabella Barco – 10m Olympic Women

AD Le Hanie – 10m Olympic Men

Congratulations to all the athletes who took part and achieved some great results and thanks to the parents and supporters of the sport for the work that went into the preparation of the athletes throughout the year. A special thanks the organisers and officials who worked behind the scenes to make a great success of this event.
